DESCRIPTION :
The Tubular Heat Exchanger is the simplest form of Heat Exchanger, which consists of two concentric tubes carrying hot and cold fluids. In the present set-up the tubes are separated into two section to reduce the overall length and to allow to measure the midway temperature of both fluids. This way the Heat Exchanger assumes a U type formation. Hot water flows through inner tube in one direction only & cold water flows over the inner tube in annulus. Direction of cold fluid flow can be changed from parallel or counter to hot water so that unit can be operated as parallel or counter flow heat exchanger. Temperature sensors are installed at various and appropriate locations to record the temperature of fluids at the time of running the experiment. This unit is an accessory of Heat Exchanger Service Unit and easily can be installed on the Service Unit.
